I wasn't going to say anything about this little subthread, but after
reading this:

I knew he was full of crap. I just installed XP on a new machine I
built. Visual Studio starts in 1-2 seconds. hmmm...
Granted this box is fairly powerful (certainly Vista capable) and I
don't know what kind of hardware he's got, but it still sounds
suspicious to me.
