I agree...
I'm using python/django (I think the pythonic way is more delphian ;) ) from some time and found that is *more* easy work the way of totally separation of server and client side than my previous asp.net/ajax integrated stuff...
The website perform better, I know all the time where fix things, I fix quickly any problem acrooss navigators and, the most importsnt, I work in "progressive" way: First do simple html, then later adding the "cool" factor.
I think I save 6-7 months of time not because I inish early, but because I can deliver early!
