I don´t know why but I have the impression that using html + javascript like
yui it work
more faster that using the component architecture like intraweb or asp.net,
I don´t know if the browse do better cache to .js or css, but to me I get
more quickly an
page using the first approach.
some one can tell if I am right and why?
kind regards
Frank

Other approach could be:
the combination YUI-Ext + MagicAjax + Asp.Net ECO App + nBackEnd? to this
combination was perfect only need that work Asp.Net ECO App on Mono
IMO, MagicAjax really isn't required here as YUI already provides
library support for AJAX stuff. I don't know anything about MagicAjax,
but it looks like it's a Pre-Atlas type solution for ASP.NET.
Regardless, the use of YUI + YUI-Ext can be done more naturally with
Rails than Intraweb or ASP.NET. I believe this is exactly the kind of
thing that works better with Rails than Intraweb or ASP.NET.
Intraweb and ASP.NET's non-javascript (or javascript +
server-side/designer) component architecture is its strength and
weakness in this regard. The strength is that you get tools to help you
build your UI and insulation from HTML/JavaScript by leveraging
components. The weakness is that it insulates you from HTML/JavaScript,
it's harder not to leverage components and harder to integrate
javascript libraries that utilize simple http gets and posts.
Disclaimer: I'm not saying that Intraweb and ASP.NET are alike other
beyond providing designers and having a strong component model. There
are other differences between the two frameworks.
