Codegear is a subsidary and so its money IS Borlands money.
If they spend $50,000 on a web site, that impacts on Borlands bottomline.

It is desperate times for Borland. In such times, cost cutting becomes irrational. One company I worked at cut out the sugar for morning coffee as a cost saving measure. Of course, the CEO and Chairman of the Board still went on regular junkets to conferences in France and Switzerland.

Borland could afford to have a scrappy website, I don't think CodeGear
has as much room.

If they are not selling off the wretched thing, then why are they going ahead with the renaming ??? Renaming it will cost them in the credibility stakes.

I have downloaded the free Visual Studio Express. I am starting to feel that my future might have a lot more MS and a lot less CodeGear/Borland/<insert name of the day> in it.
