The thing is that I don't think many of the tools suggested actually
address the OP's requirement:
"I would like my app to download the help from my website and
replace some codes with client definitions and compile it."
missed that completely :-(
I suppose if you used html help (i.e. html pages, help in a browser)
then you could search and replace the client-specific codes.
I'd say, perhaps the better strategy would be to send the client
specific codes from the app to the server and have the server
recompile the help using those codes. That also keeps the help
source away from the client. less chances to botch it.
