Well, I don't think so. I ordered mine (Prof. explorer upgrade) on
Sunday and I was charged for shipping. The package not delivered yet.

Actually, I bought the Pro upgrade as well and was charged shipping
(this was about 2 weeks ago). After a some inquiries, today I learned
that the shipping charge was a mistake & Codegear is working on a
refund. I'm new to Delphi and was hoping that there was a physical
shipment with some introductory manual. However, I've since gathered
that there isn't a printed version of the Language Ref or User's Guide,
so I guess a physical shipment is superfluous.

On a side note, as this is my first exposure to Pascal of any sort the
syntax and language structure isn't wholly intuitive at first blush. I
started reading Cantu's Mastering Delphi 2005, but it seemed to breeze
over the basic language features. I have since started reading the PDF
Language Reference and that is quite helpful, though I wish that I
could purchase a nice printed copy.

I'm currently programming in Java, but previously have worked with VB6
and C on embedded devices. Delphi looks like it may have some of the
power and depth of Java with the RAD of VB, which could be a great
combo for developing Win32 apps (I imagine I'm preaching to the choir,
but it's a new revelation for me!). If anyone has some good book
recommendations for transitioning Java knowledge to Delphi, I'd
appreciate the help.

Best regards,
Gareth
