Well, we do have to make money. We can't stay in business if we don't
make money. Just for the record, we, like every other business in the
world, will make our decisions based on what is best for us to grow and
profit. If we make decisions that cause us to shrink and lose money,
then we go out of business.

But I can say that we are really focused on Windows -- the platform
overwhelmingly preferred by our customers.

Nick, if this is the case, then the only argument I would have is, why fool with Ruby, PHP, etc. These environments are practically non-existent on Windows.

Article Quote:

"CodeGear's innovation plans include a move into tools for dynamic languages like PHP and Ruby, the new development darlings thanks to their suitability for Web development. The company also plans a "pretty massive" adoption of open-source technologies, Smith said. Rather than fighting the rise of platforms like Eclipse, CodeGear will work with them. Last year, it embraced Eclipse as the foundation of future JBuilder releases."

Are the articles wrong about the statements that Code Gear is looking at these markets? If so, then they had better be looking at Linux. If they are thinking about PHP and Ruby on Windows, then they are looking at a gnat size share of the market, if even that!
