Putting .NET in that sequence shows that you do not understand much
about .NET. That is like reading:

Apples: dead
Pears: dead
Potatoes: dead
Capitalism: ????

Doesnt make much sense either.


Agreed, but:

Winforms 1.1 dead
Winforms 2.0 ???

Right now the biggest problem seems to be mediocre Winforms performance.
We are currently developing our new product using Winforms 2.0 and people
have started complaining already (the original app was MFC based).

Unfortunately I have not been able to push native Delphi, which would have
been perfectly suited to the task. I just couldn't convince anybody to use
Delphi, even though it is vastly superior to anything else we're using here
(Oracle Forms, MFC, Winforms).
