Agreed 100%.

If the company is untrustworthy we would anyone use its product? Because it
offers something unique. Neither a help system or unicode can hardly be
called unique.

There's a balance. Being unique is not enough; there is also a notion
of offering something competitive as well. IMO, unicode and a working
help system will go towards being competitive.
