still going to be Windows developers - How many .NET developers
targetting Windows actually want Mono (which will severely limit the
types of functionality they can implement in the Windows version of
their products, should they want single-source compatibility).
There's no need to limit it to single-source compatibility. If one
chooses to use full blown .NET go for it; if one wants to code to the
Mono-LCD level, support that too. Provide tools to give insight into
incompatibilities.
I definitely think .NET 2.0 support should be done ASAP, but if there's
something different from what VS.NET is offering, it's easier to justify
the lag.
