To develop maybe. To deploy and maintain, I don't think so.
Setting up Linux servers seems pretty easy too. Can't beat "sudo apt-get
install apache mysql php".
Maintaining servers remotely is also easier done in Linux than Windows,
thanks to ssh and vi.
Plus you don't have to worry that the next windows update is going to take
your server down.
Another thing we've noticed is that Oracle for example runs a whole lot
quicker on Linux than on Windows (on the same hardware).
Windows is still better as a consumer system. But I don't see too many
reasons to use it on the server.
