I'm sorry but you clearly have no idea about branding - Delphi *already
is* a brand. It has as essence and image in the minds of developers. And
that essence and image (IMO) is linked to the *language*. The D4PHP
naming damages the brand by blurring the this essence and image.
The language is Object Pascal. Renaming it it "Delphi" was little more than
a botched and poorly thought through exercise in product management. In the
context of the other plans Borand had for the IDE (multiple language
personalities), renaming a language the same name as the IDE framework makes
very little sense in my opinion.
