Now this is confusing to some, because in recent year's Borland changed
the
name of its version of Object Pascal to "Delphi" to match the name of the
IDE product in which it was housed. This of couse was at the same time
that
the company was forming plans to introduce multiple language personalities
in the same IDE...

Whatever their plans might have been, Delphi has become the language, and
they agreed. Now going back and calling everything Delphi is just lack of
imagination. What happened to BDS? Or find a new name, it's not like we have
run out of brandable words or phrases.

I can point to a very successful renaming of Object Pascal : CHROME. That
is a brilliant re-naming of Object Pascal. Its screams NEW AND SHINY and,
frankly, sexy. So it can be done. A little imagine is required.

Sure. Maybe CG should call their IDE "Gold". Doesn't matter to me. But
Delphi was known as the language to those who knew it, which was precious
few to begin with. Now, everybody is confused.
