Who isn't interested? CodeGear or the community? :)
I know that both are interested.
I think the OTA community is smaller than expected. The main reason because
not so many people are interested in OTA is the lack of documentation and of
course the absence of the (right) focus on it.
The problem is that there needs to be a critical mass created for
newsgroup activity to be high.
Yes, but in order to have a critical mass the people must be encouraged to
write OTA code.
I think many Delphi developer simple does't know the OTA existence. No
documentation, no focus, no "marketing". OTA is a sort of "magic thing" used
just by third party components vendors...
And for people like me (i use OTA for my products) is a pain because working
without the basic documentation is at least very improductive.
It's CodeGear's product and if they are interested, they must take the
initial steps towards creating a healthy community around the OTA.
The questions are : why Borland has not done this before ? Will CodeGear
change his direction ?
