Here is another Codegear asset that is ripe for branding: The VCL.
This
also screams excellence and elegance when I hear it. So when I saw the
announcemt for the VCL for PHP, I said "Yeah! Somebody at Codegear
get's
it".

I agree it would be a nice thing to have a Codegear "VCL" that is usable
across platforms. That's basically what they have with VCL and VCL for
..NET. But VCL for PHP (unless I'm greatly mistaken) is a totally different
library.

VCL for PHP is completely different from Delphi's VCL. Different
implementation, different classes. It is a visual component library but
it's not the Delphi VCL. So calling the PHP product's vcl "VCL for PHP is
confusing in same way as it's confusing to call the product as a whole
"Delphi for PHP".
