huh? I was referring here to the use of Intraweb to support
web-based apps, which is what the original post was referring to
as a general solution. Delphi win32 apps that use Intraweb
need to be hosted on Windows-based hosts. The client side
can be running anything because access is through a web
browser. Unless you're saying that you can now run win32 apps
directly on Linux hosts.

Nope, you are mistaken with this, only the IDE requires windows (its a
Windows application) the resultant applications you develop can be
deployed to any platform that supports php5+ your aims of deploying to
a LAMP platform are perfectly safe.
