Re: Delphi 2007 Confusion

Nick, you need to take a couple of steps back and view it all from our
shoes.

YES - People asked for a Win32 Product. But, people with BDS already had
that. People that only wanted the Single product can go the Turbo route.
Oh, sorry, that's only for non professionals.

Now, it's Delphi for Win32. If the BDS folks update to Win32 for $400 then
do SA for $390 it ends up costing a lot more than if we wait. Historically,
the upgrades were in the $400 range.

Now, if your about to tell us that is the best way to go because BDS will be
$800 to upgrade to then I'll have to say goodbye. $400 for an upgrade it
enough.

If your saying that you have no idea what Code Gears actual product line
will be, and we need SA to be safe and covered, then come out and say it.

CodeGear was suppose to be a change for the better. I know it'll take time
to get there, but don't hang us out to dry like what happened if you bought
the Delphi "Developer Edition" years ago which faded away.

Do you have specific questions about the products? We are trying hard
to provide the products that our customers are asking for. We got a
strong, clear message that customers wanted a Win32 product. We've
released that. We've made it easy to get on the Software Assurance
program that makes sure that customers get all the Studio level
products.

What are your questions about that?
