D2007 vs MS Visual Studio 2005

Earlier I had posted that CodeGear beat MS to the punch on having a
development
platform that ran on Vista and produced Vista exes. I was told VS 2005
could do
that. I checked it out. It can't. Buy a version of VS 2005 off the shelf,
install it,
get all the updates for it, and try it. You have to hunt betas for the
parts if you want
to produce exes for Vista with the glass look. In my book that doesn't
count. I'm
talking shipping product vs shipping product, not how you can create a
Frankenstein
monster if you are willing to do enough work.
