Fair point.
Since SA was introduced, it has been a cheaper and more convenient
option for me.
If it ever stops being cheaper and more convenient, I'll stop using it.
Not before.

This is not an exclusive Borland/CG issue about SA by any stretch of
imagination.
I was an MSDN subscriber for a total of 5 Years from early 2002 to
early 2007.
In the end decided not good value and havent renewed. It was largely
pure
luck I got VS 2005 as subscriptions run for 2 years at levels I
qualified for. Note
how it took 2.5 years from 2003 to 2005. Same with Vista versions had
my subscription
ended 2 Months ealier I wouldnt have got RTM versions for Test and
development purposes.
In that length of time they produced TWO real new versions of Visual
Studio.
VS2002 ( Not good ),
VS2003 ( Really SP1 of 2002 in most respects ) ,
VS2005 ( 2.5 Years after VS2003. Performance problems galore at
launch ).
Service packs for Visual Studio are even more telling.
VS2003 SP1 issued THREE YEARS after launch.
VS2005 SP1 issued ONE YEAR after launch. Considering the show stopping
performance issues at launch not good.
Also introduced the 2005 Team editions and changed subscriptions palns
in such a way MSDN Universal suddenly wasnt top
plan to be on. Various other irritations. Like Visual Studio 6 working
on Vista ok but not Visual Studio 2003 not and announicing you
arent fixing it. Not rolling out .Net 1.1 as a high priority update
for XP so it drove take up. Vista Delays due to code reset.
List goes on and on and on LOL.
