I'm looking for either code or component to repair a corrupted DBT file which is a memo field for a dbase file.
I've tried packing with the Database Desktop but it states I have a corrupt "blob" file. What's odd, is that I can see and add to the memo field via an application, but I can't pack the darn thing.
I'd prefer free, this technology is as old as dirt. I've googled and found only crap or dead links or shareware that I can't even try so that I know that it'll work (I know if it worked, I wouldn't need it anymore). I will only need to use once!
Suggestions?
Thanks,
Curt
I used dSalvage Professional for this. Was expensive at $245 but allowed
me to recover a table that would have taken ages to fix some other
way or to re-enter the data for. While other utilities tend to just
fix one or two things this product does that plus has a pile of
editors to look at and fix different aspects of dBase type files.

Still have it here, it's DOS based and pretty old but works.
Nice printed manual and the floppy shows version 4.2 with a
(C)1989-1998. If the files aren't to large and the problem
turns out to not be to much work to fix I could do it for
you using my copy.
