In the past, people who want to get every release can save money with
SA, and people who wait several releases between upgrades can choose to
upgrade when they like the features enough in the latest version.

I'm not sure how that's changed. If I weren't on SA and needed the
things in Highlander (which I do), then I wouldn't bother paying for
Delphi 2007 or Cogswell and just wait.


In the past when Borland released an incomplete product ahead of time (e.g.
BDS 2006 without a properly functioning C++) they supplied the remainder for
no additional charge even for those users without SA.

Now it might well be that the price of D2007 (the first installment of RAD
Studio 2007) is significantly lower than the final price (upgrade / new
user) of RAD Studio 2007. Until we know that it is difficult to budget and /
or make informed purchasing decisions.
