Obviously there are commercial considerations to be respected, but
getting the facts across can only help. If your auditors require you to
follow a certain course of action, then informing customers about this
requirement - and it's source- is fair and reasonable.
On a wider point, blogs are the ideal way of dealing with these
difficult issues. They cannot all be sunshine and cheerleading,
otherwise they lose credibility. Jim has made a decent start by at
least admitting there are problems with the 'initial experience'.
