A mistake, IMHO. Teamb are not part of CodeGear customer service, nor are
they under any obligation to act as CodeGear spokespersons or apologists.
They are simply moderators, and like any group of volunteers, some are
better and more consistent at it than others. Apart from their moderation
duties, I don't think they necessarily have to agree on anything.

lot of people take offense here that was never intended.

I'm a Delphi customer more for reasons having to do with Delphi itself than
