unable to invoke code completion due to errors in source code

I'm working on a project in Delphi 7 and every time I hit the space bar
the hourglass cursor pops up and after about five or ten seconds the
following wrror pops up "unable to invoke code completion due to errors
in source code"

I thought I could disable code completion by upchecking all the options
on the Code Insight tab, yet even after rebooting it is still poping up.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening and how I can stop it?
