Install speeds

A few days ago I built a new PC for myself - until now I used a notebook for all my development work. In any case - Core 2 Duo (2.4Ghz) with 4Gb RAM, and a Sata2 hard drive with 16Mb cache.

I installed Vista, as well as the .NET SDK, and then proceeded to install D2007. All I can say is WOW - it took 7 minutes from start (including me typing my info in etc) to finish. I definately think the extra cache on the HD made a huge difference.

Just thought I'd share - get a fast HD, and a lot of issues disappear :)
