When MacDonald's opens stores in another country, they also put in place
local infrastructure and they are able to acquire what they need at *local*
prices. The construction or lease costs on the store locations are that much
cheaper, wages of store workers are that much cheaper, cost of local
vegetables bread and and meat are that much cheaper, fuel costs, heating
costs, on and on. So *of course* they can charge for product accordingly and
still make a very normal return on investment.
When CodeGear sells Delphi in another country, all the costs of producing it
were and continue to be at U.S. prices - their wages, office costs, etc.
