Spot on! As a Delphi novice the Help is an extraordinary nuisance. Especially when it worked beautifully in D5 (my most recent Delphi prior to my copies of D2006 and D2007).
I say "spot on" because this will genuinely affect the perception of new customers who are trying out the product. The number of times I've been to delphibasics.co.uk to find out what I want is worrying. How are new customers supposed to know about that site?
More pertinently, the number of times I've thought "Hmmm, perhaps now's a good time to try out C# Express" is more than a few. It's only because I've got fond memories of D5 that I stick with it.
Honestly, I just can't accept that this Help business has to be so damn difficult.
Perhaps CodeGear know that it only really matters to newbies. The grizzled experts here probably hardly ever use it, so maybe it has to be prioritised downwards.
