Wow, is it backwards day?

My BDS2006 shows help for this, but D2007 doesn't????????

Sure, it isn't first in the list of matches, but it is there!

Robin.

I get four hits:
for RAD Studio
For..Next Windows Scripting Technologies
for statement (JScript 5.6) Windows Scripting Technologies
For Each..Next statement Windows Scripting Technologies

The only one of any revelance would appear to be the first. Following
this, I get:

Category
Statements

Syntax
for ( [<initialization>] ; [<condition>] ; [<increment>] ) <statement>

....which looks suspiciously like C++ syntax rather than Delphi.

So I set the help "filtered by" option to read "Language: Delphi", and
type "for" into the "Look For" box, and lo! There is no reference to the
word "for" in the Delphi Language help. Nor does "next", nor does "if".

I've actually now reinstalled Delphi 7 just so that I can get the
language help, but unfortunately D7 didn't have this new "for x in y"
syntax.

Please CodeGear, release an interim version of Help which contains
language syntax for ObjectPascal!! Or at least update the Developer
Network screen (that we get to from the IDE) to have something to tide us
over.
