I'm not quite sure how my world differs to the one I see out of my window?

but then, some of the things he mentioned sound fairly experimental to me
:-)
Everything I do is experimental. Some things work, some don't, I change the
ones that don't. Some stuff I talk about are things that I have only
implemented 50% of, some things have been in use in the field by a few
hundred users for over a year. It's good to experiment. If I couldn't make
up new stuff I'd get another job.
