Clearly the deterioration of the help system was happening before and/or during those releases that were directly under Borland. From the official start of CodeGear, only the last two releases can be counted.

Agreed, But Brian said Borland/CodeGear releases. The change in help content was deliberate and intentional from Delphi 7 to C# Builder, along with the transition in tools. I read Borland/CodeGear as Borland and CodeGear, not solely CodeGear.

Reading in bursts, I may have lost context, but I thought this subthread was asking why CodeGear, which didn't spring whole cloth from nowhere, with completely new people, didn't focus more effort on improving the documentation. After all, the majority of staff were Borlander's the day before CodeGear existed, and should have been fully aware of the help from C# Builder -> BDS 2006. I was just providing more data.
