It would be the difference in the circumference of the contact area of the
letters and the circumference of the roller it is glued on to. This will
not be exact but should be close enough.

Pretend you have a rubber stamp that says "PAID". Strip the rubber part
off of it and glue it to a rolling pin. Ink the stamp and roll it onto a
*** of paper. The image is now slightly elongated because it is
stretched across the roller so you have to make a new stamp to fix the
problem. How much should the image on the new stamp be compressed to
compensate for the distortion?
