The argument here appears to be, "SA is a ripoff, so I won't buy it,
but I'll get upset when those who did buy it get any value from it,
because I didn't choose to buy it." I think that such an argument
suggests (rightly or wrongly) an incorrect understanding of what SA is.
So let's simplify:

SA is a good way to buy Delphi if you always want the latest version
and intend to "upgrade" to each new release. It lets you pay a
relatively fixed price per year for this. It's good for people who
intend to renew it each year.

OTOH, SA is probably a bad deal if you only intend to buy it once and
never renew. CodeGear folks have been quite clear about this, too.
