Hi Pieter,

Is there a webpage that offers an online newsreader similar to
google mail?
I'm not familiar with google mail, so I'm not clear what you want.
Google mail is a web page that allows you to read and write emails. It
can be configured to not only use the google mail address that comes
with the account but also to use other email adresses that are
available via POP3. I am using it for all my email.
I think Thomas is not looking for a program, but instead for a
web-solution to read newsgroups. So when you're sitting in an Internet
cafe in a far far away country you can still use the newsgroups as if
you were at home.
Correct. Actually it's more like: I want to use it at home on my PC, on
my laptop (usually also at home but in the living room - no, I don't
want to remote into my PC for that - but I also take it with me on
holidays) and at work (where I rarely have got the time for posting to
newsgroups anyway, but it would be nice to be able to).
But otherwise XanaNews is a nice solution :)
I am using it right now, but actually I prefer KNews, the KDE standard
newsreader. But that's a matter of taste.
