Re: Justified moaning?, I like to think so.

Yes you are justified in moaning but only once until you have put these
problems in QC.

Yes, AFAIK, all the problems are in QC but are generally none reproducible
in any concrete way. Personally, I don't think it should be necessary to
submit examples of this sort to prove the bug anyway. If you get enough
people complaining about them then there's obviously something wrong.

I assume you have the latest Update3 for Delphi 2007 which fixed a whole
host of bugs like this.

I'm on RS 2007 which I believe includes all the latest fixes. Unfortunately,
taking the DBCtrlGrid as an example and according to a QC log - the bug was
fixed in update 2 and RE-INTRODUCED in update 3

If you do and still have problems, please report anything you can
reproduce to QC because CodeGear are spending a lot of time fixing bugs
like this and want it to be much better.
I know they haven't been so hot in the past but things *are* changing.

Since D7, I have tried D8 and 2005 - both where a disaster IMO. I held off
any further versions and went for 2007 because I believed ( due only to
general consensus ) that they had got it right this time. I thought they had
too, but now I'm not too sure.

I believe they need to be getting frequent small updates out addressing as
many of the bugs as they can as ASAP. It's no good waiting a month or two
only to find:
Half the things you hoped got fixed got left out.
Half the things you never use got fixed but it didn't make you feel any
better.
Some of the things that used to work got broken fixing something else.

We've got customers waiting for stuff we can't fix because our tool's
broken. Come on Codegear - get your *** together and let's go!
