Yes, indeed you did. The email "short of violating our licenses" clearly
says "What do you want considering I can't do anything?", despite the fact
that written consent would have been sufficient.
And as for the offer to help, not the most clever trick I have seen in my
life I must admit.
01: Tell me flatly that there is no way it is going to happen. 2 or maybe 3
times in a short conversation.
02: See that I have posted here and the offer to help (with no promises)
03: Wait a short while and then say "Oh, I see you have already decided".
Not convincing at all Nick.
From this.....
(Start of conversation)
[02/11/2007 23:13:39] Peter Morris says: Am I wasting my time or what?
[02/11/2007 23:13:58] Nick Hodges says: Sorry to say, but yeah.
(edited)
(End of conversation)
[02/11/2007 23:25:55] Right, so basically you are not going to help me, no?
[02/11/2007 23:27:35] Nick Hodges says: I'm afraid not, not.
Then I post on here and within 25 minutes you Skyped
[02/11/2007 23:57:26] Nick Hodges says: The best I can do is to try again
with support and legal.
[00:03:13] Nick Hodges says: But I don't think I'll get any traction.
A complete u-turn on telling me I am wasting me time and that you are not
going to help me wouldn't you say?
Followed by
[00:51:14] Nick Hodges says: Ahh, but I see that you've already decided to
bail.
Call me Mr Suspicious, Nick, but I suspect strongly that you saw my post in
the NG before 23:57 and decided to pretend (unconvincingly) to be more
reasonable.
Now, before we go any further. Are you going to retract your statement that
you offered to help me multiple times and that I (for some reason I cannot
fathom) didn't really want your help, or shall I go ahead and post
everything? Now please keep in mind that I have every email and every skype
conversation, and for the sake of openess I will not be omitting anything!
Are you certain?
Pete
