Yet another mention of this "Enterprise" thing, without explaining what
it
is...

What's the big deal? In this case, it probably means integration across
heterogeneous applications, databases, protocols etc. Enterprise - a
cocktail of environments. Not your corner-shop Point Of Sale application
running on a standalone PC.

I've asked several times now what Tony thought was enterprisy-
and why he thought Firebird isn't capable.

I know Firebird is running some major (enterprise?) applications,
shuld I make a side-by-side comparison saying, well, PgSQL might
have this and that and Firebird might have this, yet they still both
run fine?

Tony is trying to make a comparison for a specific purpose without
explaining what the purpose would be!
