I have a Sun Ultra M4 (8GB & 2 dual cores).
Windows 64bits, Delphi and the rest are as slow as usual.
But, for example, my brother render a 3DMax scene that take 7 days in dual core in less than 2 days. In 3DMax, this machine scream (help the quadro ;)).
But for example this is cool because;:
- I can run a lot more virtual machines, more than I can manage ;)
- Currently, I can cope the 8GB de ram... and I'm triying (by the way, exist a way to load all the os on ram???)
-I have Sql 2000, 2005 (for my work) and Mysql & Postgree (because the hosting for websites) running all day long. Plus apache and other stuff.
So, yes. This is slow as usual. But I can put more crap on it ;)
