Is there anyone who has been using D7, moved to D2007, and care to tell me
how the change fared--not as much on the technical side, but are you glad
you've done it? I used D7 with CodeRush and I just don't want to jump ship
yet--but am thinking I am going to need to (want to work in ASP.NET at
some point).

Ed,

I have looked at the newer Delphis, but still not convinced to switch. D7 is
just so solid and I have all the add-ons I need for it, and of course not
switching is so much less expensive.

I use C# for ASP.NET and have had little difficulty in grasping the
language. Before switching to Delphi ASP.NET I would do a little research by
using the new CodeGear trials and actually making a small program with some
real features. Google for code examples and see what you find.

And as I know you frequent this group, you have read there are serious
issues with the help system in D2007, which may or may not be a problem for
you. Download and install VS2008 and try the help and compare.

If someone would pay me to write in Chrome in VS, I would prefer that. You
have to pry my D7 from my cold dead fingers, but for ASP.NET or .NET in
general, I just don't see using Delphi.
