Re: Application server

John used his keyboard to write :
Hello,
some of my customers would like to use my CAD system that consume a lot of memory and ressource on a server so many users can use the app on a network whithout installing the app on their pc.
Anyoner has already done something like this ? any suggestions ?

Thanks
John

Look into Terminal Services on Windows 2003 Server.

From the client machine you add an RDP link and set it
up to execute your application. It essentially works
just like a shortcut, but the app is actually executing
on the server.
They can add their username and password for the server
so they don't need to enter it every time. That makes
it seem even more like a shortcut.

Brad.
