Seeking Simple TCP component for Delphi/FPC/Kylix

I am looking for a simple TCP component that I can use across these
development environments with fairly minimal modifications. Any
recommendations?

I've been using the version of Indy bundled with Kylix 3 but recently
encountered strange problems with it, and now cannot rebuild my component
library without Kylix freezing up. It seems to be related to my attempts to
add TCP (previously using only UDP), perhaps a bad library got linked in
somehow. I have reinstalled Kylix with the same problem, so now I am
seeking to evade it by changing components.

On a related note, I am also looking for a simple database component that
will work on Delphi/FPC/Kylix.
