Daring to use QC

I've just discovered what would appear to be a significant bug in Studio2007. With multiple buttons selected (in order to get them to the same size), I 'thought' I had clicked on one of them to change the caption. Either I didn't click hard enough, long enough, or at all, because all buttons remained selected and I didn't notice.
I then attempted to change the caption. After typing a few letters, I realized that I had all of the buttons selected (all captions were changing). I stopped typing and hit 'escape' to 'undo' the process and cancel.
Lo and behold, the previous name of the button I had clicked on was copied into ALL of the buttons!!!
So, now I have to re-do every single button caption on the form...
I'm going to give myself a limit of five minutes (not counting typing this email) to submit this to QC.
OK, starting now...
Last time I went to QC, folks told me what a dummy I was for not using the 'Tools/Quality Central' button (like the documentation (NONEXISTENT) told me to (NOT!!!)), and instead went to the CodeGear website and went from there to BDN/Quality Central.
So, clicking on the button pops up a nice little form that tells me to enter my email and password. OK, time lost now finding my little 'password list' and finding what password I use here (I don't understand why with all the trouble they go to with 'activation' that logging in with an 'activated copy' of Studio doesn't bypass this, but that's another problem...).
OK, found the password. Keyed it in. I have a nice window that says "Quality Central Windows Client". Bunch of entry points. Don't quite know how to check if someone else has a problem, and don't see a 'search' box, but let me look a little more...
OK, I see a listbox that says 'Area'. I suppose this will have various parts of the program to show me if it's an IDE problem, linker problem, etc. Let's see what pops up -- oh, the list box is empty (what a surprise)...
OK, looking through all of the darned little menus, I find a 'query mode'. Interestingly enough, if I put my cursor over the question mark character at the top, it says "View form in query mode". Of course, if I enter query mode, and put my cursor over that little question mark again, to see what the 'non-query' mode is called, it says "View form in query mode". Hmm, perhaps the hint ought to say 'toggle query mode' -- but we're still not getting anywhere...
I'm now in 'query' mode, and the 'description' box has changed to 'keywords'. I know, I know, it wouldn't make SENSE to have those both showing at the same time...
So, let's enter 'multiple selection' as a keyword item... I enter that, then look for the 'go' or 'search' button. Nowhere to be found (surprised?)... So let's just hit 'enter'... Oh, good, the computer beeped at me. I must be getting somewhere... Okay, let's see if any more little silly icons have anything on them. The button next to 'query mode' says 'new query', so that's probably it. I press that button, and... Voila! It ERASES my entry into the keywords field!!!
Well, let's try it again. I'll just use the drop-down list box that shows my history of entered keywords to re-enter it, so I don't have to type it in again...
What did you say? There's no history drop-down list??? Hmmm... OK, let's just type it in again and look for something else to press... Of course, the auto-complete will remember that I just typed that into the box, and when I type the first few letters of 'multi...' it will finish it off for me... Well, apparently this version of auto-complete waits until I've finished retying everything before it shows me what I wanted (<G>)...
OK, another little button with a squiggle on it. The hint says 'run current query'. Okay, press the button, hourglass pops up...
30 seconds later, I get a response. 15 items pop up (great! maybe one of them is mine, and I can quit here!). I scan through each one, and none of them is similar to the problem I have. I don't know what further kinds of keyword items I should run, so let me just enter the @*#$!#$ report...
I close the report list window, and go back to 'unquery' mode...
It is left with the last report I viewed, which has to do with Quality Central. But I want to enter a problem with Studio 2007, so let me change the 'project' item and enter my new report... Hmm, I click on the listbox, it shows me all the possibilities, I select one, and it goes right back to 'Quality Central' as the 'project'. Well, obviously I can't enter a new report this way. Let me look for some kind of 'new report' button...
OK, I don't see anything obvious. I clicked on 'new query' button, and all it did was put me back in 'query' mode. I look at the 'File' menu, nothing there. Edit menu, nothing there. Under 'view menu', there's lots of stuff, but nothing remotely like 'new report'. Under 'reports', there is 'first/prior/insert/change status/refresh/etc.' but nothing like 'new report'... Under activities, we have 'rate/vote/track/workaround', but no 'new report'. Under 'query', the closest thing we have is the already-tried 'new query'... Under 'help' the only items are 'about' and the QC website (yeah, let me go THERE now...)...
I've spent far more than my allotted five minutes, but I don't see a way to simply enter a new report. I guess I'm done now...
CodeGear, do you folks even have a CLUE about why your customers get frustrated with these interactions???
