Understood, nevertheless, the jump from 'incomplete solution' to 'placebo'
is unwarranted.
It is in the situation where the pill is taken for no reason other than
to take the pill. i.e. employing a GC where a GC is at best unnecessary
is the sort of thing one might do simply to feel better about having
taken the pill.
GC is neither a universal solution nor without its limitations, but it is
not without its uses, either <g>.
Fair comment, but I don't see ANY of those uses as applicable to a
project undertaken in Delphi for Win32.
GC has obvious attractions (and applications) for scripting
languages/environments.
