I would have expected something more brilliant and closer to the subject.
Well I thought that both articles had more or less the same degree of hubris.
The French paramilitary police announce that as they buy 70,000 new computers over the next 5-6 years they will use Linux Ubuntu instead of Microsoft Windows and that's somehow suppose to be of great consequence. And of course this will fuel the Linux advocates to lobby CodeGear to move away from Microsoft's Windows and focus on Linux and revive Kylix, all the while ignoring the fact that 100 million Vista licenses have been sold in the last year. To me that sounds about as persuasive as the loony-tune crowd in the US wanting to rename french fries Liberty Potatoes. ;-)
