Sometimes files or directories become read-only, or the access rights are
changed for no reason, as I observed under XP and Vista. Then the IDE may
go crazy, followed by the user <g>, being unable to store or touch the
files. How to repair such unwanted changes, that depends...
In one case I had to use W2K, in order to repair such an XP idiocy. In
fact the XP error messages were misleading, whereas W2K immediately stated
a problem with the access rights, pointing me into the correct direction.
I can't believe that is what's happening in my case as I am able to freely
edit the files in question from within Delphi. Unless it's possible that
they're momentarily flagged as read-only and then soon after changed back.
