Nobody needs to upgrade, you can stick with your old version if you like.
But you can also run both editons. I still remember Delphi 1 being deployed
with version 2 just because of architectural reasons (Win 3.11)

Yep, thereby breaking an enormous amount of code.
Not everyone's of course, and "Go Fish" will make for a great demo - as
ever - but still, for many people developing applications with no need
for Unicode, the approach heading their way is likely to make them think
twice about upgrading to D2008.
