The modern pascal language is in a sad state..

The job market needs to be less product oriented and more focused on modern pascal as a skill.

Things like lua/fpc/delphi should all be part of the job market for modern pascal.. and not just this single product based development.

One reason people aren't using delphi for jobs is because its this single product rather than an open thing like C++ where you've got more than just MS.... but several C++ compilers and C++ is a development language, not a "product specific to a vendor that could be ditching us even if they won't an everyone predicts it".
