Wonders of .NET framework and MS stuff

I have .NET 1.1 and 2.0 installed here in my laptop. Automatic update has
detected and downloaded .NET 2.0 Service Pack 1. Trying to install it... no
success. Some mysterious error without any message. My Windows is legal, so
thats not an issue. So I thought... Why loose time with it? I will uninstall
..NET 2.0, download it with SP1 and reinstall it, right? No... wrong!!!
Unistalled .NET 2.0, ok.
Try to reinstall .NET 2.0 w/SP1: ""Another version of this product is
already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue."
So... copy and paste this sh#t message in Google and it gives me 1060
results! Yeah!!! At least, I'm not alone!
A little research and I've discovered that exists even a tool to cleanup
(Windows installer doesn't work?) .NET installations, something called
dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.... Doesn't work either
(althought it tells you that it has worked!).
Before I search a little further, and before I go outdoor and pray for IT
gods to turn someone in Microsoft into a frog, I've decided to share this
incredible experience with you guys! Hope that MS lovers around never have
this exciting experience! :)
I can't stop thinking about my old grandma trying to run my .NET based,
super-duper Grandma Recipe Software: "Grandma, it is simple: First donwload
dotnetfx_cleanup_tool, run it and pray... Then download .NET 2.0
redistributable SP1, install it and pray again!"
Shame on you MS!
Regards.
