Tiberón moved to second half of 2008... check.
No mention of the previous 'updated VCL' in tiberón... check.
No separate C++ release... check.
My first time going with the SA might be worthless now... check!
All in all im underwealmed... have little need for unicode... was excited
about the vcl overhaul but that looks like it got sidelined. CF support is
still in the 'some day, maybe' category so no change there... bought D2007
+ SA in september but spent nearly a month calling them trying to actually
get the product delivered... but of course my SA is still from the original
purchase date... and I tend to read 2nd half of 2008 as Nov/Dec since its
slipping already and they just got an alpha ide up which makes my SA
worthless... doubt ill do that again. Upgrading every few years is better
cost wise... and it might be a few years until they have something I want to
upgrade to anyway... so just write off the SA as lesson learned I guess.
Ive been using borland/codegear products since TP3 and TP/CPM days and have
'converted' every shop ive worked in to delphi...Hmm... maybe its time for a
change... it would definitely make me better off in the job market. lol.
Btw, ive been using D2007 for some things.. but still using D7 for most of
my work... the problem with making great products like D5 and D7 is that
you have to out do them I guess.
