Unfortunately, my boss doesn't share my fascination with clean,
concise, testable code, so it's unlikely he'd buy this for me, and
$379 is a bit spendy for me personally right now. I'm saving up to
buy FL Studio, which was mentioned recently by a CodeGear blogger.
Wife has me on a strict allowance :-)
For me it's a business expense that has paid for itself in time and
headache avoidance.
You could always tell him to think of it as hygiene.
If that isn't convincing, I guess you could talk to him about the
"angle or repose" of software. The less time you have to spend going
back over old code, the more time you have to do new work.
