Now that CG is owned by a private company...

I just wish the Delphi and other Tools become more cheaper so more people can afford it in developing countries. It is the developing countries that can give the benefit of scale (due to large population)

That would be nicey nice in heaven, but here in the real world CG
is tied to the $.
It would be upto your goverments who close borders in the east to
make a schools deal with CG like the very nice Russian deal.
Delphi is not developed in a shanty town or in someone's garage,
it has property to pay for and it aint cheap buying filling's for David I's
big belly ;-) plus the team fly around the planet keeping peeps upto
speed so they can tell us mortals what's what.
If they bring back Kylix I would pay $1k if it works as good as D7
in later distros and 64 bit and they strip that C++ nonsense out of
it.

I am not saying it should be free like Free Beer. I am saying now that CG does not have to sustain Borland's expenses I think the prices should be lowered to make it more affordable and thus compete well against other development tools like Visual Studio which are way cheaper to own and use compared to Delphi.
